Horsham Shaolin Kung Fu kids classes are open to any children aged from about 4 up to 11.
Many parents worry about their children spending too much time watching the television or playing on their phones. Kung Fu training is a healthy way for kids to make friends and improve their social skills.
Our children’s classes aim to help young people learn in a fun but focused and safe environment. We find that training helps many kids improve their concentration, hand eye co-ordination, discsipline and overall fitness.
As we don’t train in a competitive environment, children will learn martial arts at their own pace and are helped to make a steady progression throughout their martial arts training, which helps them to develop confidence in their own abilities.
Many children with behavioural needs also benefit heavily from the classes as it provides a structured environment for them to learn the discipline and etiquette which martial arts entails. Children new to school also get the chance to interact with others which aids their social development.
Many of the students have become good friends which helps to drive the fun and energetic nature of training.
Horsham Shaolin Kung Fu adults classes are for ages 12 and upwards (there is no upper limit!).
Many adults want to improve their fitness but find that going to the gym or playing sport is not fulfilling enough.
Nam Pai Chuan Shaolin Kung Fu is a complex martial art with intricacies that take time and patience to perfect and can only be taught from an experienced instructor to a dedicated student.
Unlike some fitness classes where students are welcome to drop in when they like, we believe that in order to become a martial artist, regular training is essential and students should respect the value of the knowledge given. We invite new students to attend at least two or three sessions to experience the style of training we offer, before deciding whether to join one of our centres.
Our adult classes provide a focused, yet fun environment where adults can truly escape from the pressures of everyday life and learn a host of new mental and physical skills whilst learning a traditional Chinese martial art which is relevant to modern life.
A common misconception of martial arts is that you need prior fitness or experience in order to train - this is definitely not the case! Our students start from a desire to get fitter, learn more and better themselves. Take a look at some of the testimonials from our Horsham kung fu students...
